Uudistetun Turun Kauppatorin ”Kanttarelli” on valmis!

Kanttarelli toimii kokoontumispaikkana ja esiintymislavana ja -katoksena pienimuotoisille esiintymisille.

Esiintymislavan runko muodostuu kertopuukannattajista, ohuesta teräsrungosta ja lasikatteesta. Iltavalaistus on toteutettu korostamaan kanttarellin kauniita, puisia kannattajia.

Sympaattisen Kanttarellin suunnittelun lähtökohtina ovat olleet näyttävyys, innovatiivinen puun käyttö, säänkesto sekä torin erilaiset tapahtumat ja toiminnot. Materiaaleiltaan ja muotokieleltään se sopii loistavasti toripaviljonkien henkeen.

“Kanttarelli” (chanterelle) for the renovated Turku Market Square is ready!

Kanttarelli serves as a gathering place and and a canopy for the small-scale performance stage.

The frame  consists of plywood supports, a thin steel frame and a glass roof. The lighting has been implemented to emphasize the beautiful, wooden supporters of the cantarelli.

The starting points for the design were innovative use of wood, weather resistance and the market’s various events and functions. In terms of materials and design, it perfectly fits the spirit of market pavilions.
